CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Another busy weekend awaits in Atlantic Coast Conference rowing, with five teams back on the water beginning on Friday, April 3.
Clemson and Duke head to the Rocky Top Invite at Melton Lake in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This weekend will mark the third time at least one ACC team has competed on Melton Lake, after Stanford squared off with Tennessee last week and the Volunteers hosted the Oak Ridge Invite to open the season.
North Carolina (Ohio State Regatta), Notre Dame (Navy Regatta) and Syracuse (Cayuga Cup) will also be in action this weekend.

- A nation-best seven ACC teams earned spots in the latest Pocock Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Coaches Poll, released on March 31, led by defending national champion Stanford at No. 1. Following the Cardinal were No. 6 Virginia, No. 9 Syracuse, No. 10 California, No. 15 Duke, No. 16 Miami and No. 19 North Carolina
- The Virginia Varsity Eight was named the latest ACC Crew of the Week for its performance at last week’s Doc Hosea Invitational, announced by the conference on Tuesday, March 31.
- The ACC announced its second annual Rowing Watch List on February 25, consisting of one student-athlete from each ACC school. Duke’s Lena Mills became the second rower in league history to make the Preseason Watch List twice.
- Last season, in its first ACC Rowing Championship, Stanford took home the conference title, setting Grand Final record times in each event. The Cardinal went on to claim the league’s third rowing national championship all-time.
- The 2026 ACC Rowing Championship, set for May 15-16, returns to Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the third time in four years.
